William Garnett (FOREST WHITAKER) is an ex-con starting life over as a recently converted Muslim. With the help of his determined parole officer (BRENDA BLETHYN), he gets a job, meets an interesting woman (DELORES HERDIA), and keeps his head down. But the town sheriff, Bill Agati (HARVEY KEITEL), can’t leave him alone since Garnett was responsible for killing his deputy. As Agati puts pressure on him, and his old partners in crime (LUIS GUZMAN) hassle him, Garnett slowly starts to unravel. When his former life catches up with him, Garnett has to make peace with his past and face the future head on, with a gun.

Features include The Fence (54:50), a lengthy making-of featurette and the Trailer (2:20).

VIDEO – 4½/5, AUDIO – 4¼/5

Two Men in Town comes to Blu-ray from Kino Lorber, presented in the original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio. The 1080p high-definition transfer look pretty good on the whole, detail is well defined on both the more distant and close-up shots while colors are geared toward the natural tones given the New Mexico setting.

The disc comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which shows off clear dialogue mostly coming from the center channel and there was good directional audio as well, such as when Whitaker rides on his motorcycle. Nothing extraordinary but for a drama, it’s above average.
