Warner Bros., through their Archive Collection line, releases The Three Musketeers onto Blu-ray presented in the original 1.37 full frame aspect ratio and given a new 1080p high-definition transfer taken from a 4K scan of the original nitrate Technicolor negatives. This is another outstanding picture from Warner with well balanced colors without appearing overdone and detail is sharp and nicely defined throughout. The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track. This is another well done audio mix, dialogue comes through with fine clarity and there is some good depth during the numerous swashbuckling and action-centric scenes, and there were no signs of pops, hissing or other aural ailments. |
