Although X Y & Zee is a bit too outlandish for me, the trio cast of Taylor, Caine and York was fun to watch and some of the darker humor did work.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

Edna O’Brien adapted her own novel for X Y and Zee, a campy soap opera starring Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Caine, and Susannah York as the three points of a triangle that has very little to do with love. Taylor’s a sharp-toungued vulgarian, determined to break up her architect husband’s latest affair, even if it means seducing his mistress herself.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

This comes with an 8-page booklet. No features were included.

VIDEO – 3.5/5, AUDIO – 3.25/5

Twilight Time releases X Y & Zee onto Blu-ray presented with a 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and has been given a nice looking, and colorful, 1080p high-definition transfer. The disc includes a fine DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track which outputted good dialogue levels and okay depth for the music.

OVERALL – 2.5/5

Although X Y & Zee is a bit too outlandish for me, the trio cast of Taylor, Caine and York was fun to watch and some of the darker humor did work. The Blu-ray from Twilight Time has good video and audio transfers but sadly no features.
