PLOT SYNOPSIS

A VERY MERRY TOY STORE
Connie (MELISSA JOAN HART) and Will (MARIO LOPEZ) run rival toy stores in New Britain, Connecticut. When the unscrupulous owner of Roy’s Toys opens his megastore right before Christmas, Connie and Will put aside their differences to save their businesses — and discover that love has been waiting just down the street.FOUR CHRISTMASES AND A WEDDING
Four years ago, Chloe (ARIELLE KEBBEL) and Evan (COREY SEVIER) fell in love — only to see their whirlwind romance end when Evan was transferred overseas for work. Each year something — or someone — seems to stand in the way of their true love, but will a touch of Santa’s magic finally bring Chloe and Evan together?

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

This single flipper disc (can’t remember the last time I saw one of those) release comes housed in a standard DVD case. No features were included.

VIDEO – 3.75/5, AUDIO – 3.5/5

Both films are presented with a 16×9 enhanced 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and come with standard Dolby Digital 2.0 tracks, providing for clear dialogue levels and okay depth for the Christmas music.

OVERALL – 2.5/5

Overall, A Very Merry Toy Store and Four Christmases and a Wedding is your standard holiday fare that one would see on the Hallmark Channel and given its successes, guess it’s no surprise to see Lifetime get in the act, steering away from the soap opera-like thrillers. If these kinds of movies are your thing, maybe it’s worth picking up especially at a bargain, otherwise there’s nothing here that really stands out…
