The Guyver 2 — or Guyver: Dark Hero as it’s credited – has a nice fun fact to it, even more so than its predecessor but is bogged down by an exhausting 2+ hour running time. Fans of the series will probably appreciate it.

PLOT SUMMARY

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

This is a DVD-R pressing from an older release. No features are included even though DVD-ROM content is included in the menu, but per back cover, it’s not on the disc.

VIDEO — 3.5/5, AUDIO — 3.5/5

The Guyver 2 is presented with a 16×9 enhanced widescreen transfer which looks pretty good all things considered and comes with a standard but effective enough Dolby Digital 5.1 track.

OVERALL – 2.5/5

Overall, The Guyver 2 — or Guyver: Dark Hero as it’s credited – has a nice fun fact to it, even more so than its predecessor but is bogged down by an exhausting 2+ hour running time. Fans of the series will probably appreciate it. The DVD offers good video and audio but lacks any features, not surprisingly.
