Scream Park is a student film that somehow wrangled Doug Bradley into a cameo role but even with Bradley, it’s not very well made, is quite dull in places and the acting isn’t very good, even by amateur standards. The DVD released by Wild Eye has average audio and video transfers.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

The Fright Land amusement park is on the verge of closing down for good. But the owner, Hyde (DOUG BRADLEY), has one last plan to sell more tickets… murder. Hiring two backwoods maniacs to break into the park and hack and slash all his employees, Hyde thinks these killings will create a media sensation, but he has just unleashed a horror that no one can survive.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 1.5/5

Audio Commentary – Writer/Director Cary Hill sits down to explain the process of making the movie providing anecdotes and such.

Bloopers (6:56) contain line flubs and set mishaps.

Also includes trailers for Scream Park and other Wild Eye Releasing movies.

VIDEO – 3.0/5 | AUDIO – 2.5/5

The movie cost $40,000 to make and it looks like it with a cheap feel to it, though colors aren’t terrible and dark levels are stark… enough. Meanwhile, the only audio option is a Dolby Digital 2.0 track which shows how bad some of the dialogue volumes were and even effects and the score come through poorly.

OVERALL – 1.5/5

Overall, Scream Park is a student film that somehow wrangled Doug Bradley into a cameo role but even with Bradley, it’s not very well made, is quite dull in places and the acting isn’t very good, even by amateur standards. The DVD released by Wild Eye has average audio and video transfers.
