The Knot has few funny moments yet the cast seemed to get along at least making for a one-off viewing of a romantic comedy that offers little else. The DVD has OK video and audio transfers but lacks any features.

THE MOVIE

Plot Outline: Alexandra (TALULAH RILEY) and Jeremy (MATTHEW MCNULTY) have no doubts: they want to be together forever.

On their wedding day, though, chaos rules and they struggle with friends, old flames and secrets to make it to the church on time and intact. Best man Peter (NOEL CLARKE) is loveable but laid-back, cousin Sarah (MENA SUVARI) has her own troubles and the maid of honor, Julie (SUSANNAH FIELDING), may no longer believe in marriage.

Can the bride and groom survive sabotage, a hospital, strippers, AWOL bridesmaids and a pair of pig’s testicles to say “I do”?

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

No features were included.

PreviewsAmber Alert, Escape from Tomorrow, The Motel Life

VIDEO – 3.5/5

Cinedigm ties The Knot on DVD presented with a 16×9 enhanced 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio. Colors are bright though there’s some artifacts here and there but otherwise an adequate transfer.

AUDIO – 3.75/5

The movie includes a standard Dolby Digital 5.1 track good enough for the numerous dialogue scenes and choice music.

OVERALL – 2.5/5

Overall, The Knot has few funny moments yet the cast seemed to get along at least making for a one-off viewing of a romantic comedy that offers little else. The DVD has OK video and audio transfers but lacks any features.
