Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life is a half-baked and poorly made sequel that lacked the fun and thrills of the first film though Angelina Jolie appeared to give it her all, or at least her stunt double did, but the action itself was lackluster outside of the opening action sequence.

Driven is an overly dramatic, poorly acted melodrama that never really hits its stride. In 2001 when the movie was released, Sylvester Stallone was still in a funk, aside from Cop Land. The Blu-ray released by Warner does have respectable audio/video transfers and ports over all the bonus features even if they’re superficial.

This Means War is by no means… err… no way a very good movie but because of the cast and at least an interesting premise, makes for an enjoyable, if not forgettable, action romantic comedy. Reese Witherspoon is as charming as ever and the rising stars of Chris Pine and Tom Hardy both show they can be leading men. The Blu-ray offers up excellent audio and video transfers and an OK selection of features that don’t amount to a whole lot.

New Year’s Eve is an all around poorly made movie. The writing is lazy, the interconnecting tissue between the ensemble is at best thin and just the overall plot never really had the proper flow; even Valentine’s Day seemed to have a more cohesive story.
