Creepshow wasn’t a great anthology horror movie but at least three out of the five stories were at least somewhat entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed “Something to Tide You Over” seeing Leslie Nielson and Ted Danson in dramatic roles.
Saving Private Ryan is just one incredible experience from the amazing war sequences from the D-Day invasion to the Ramelle scene but in between are some excellent performances headlined by Tom Hanks, and should’ve taken home Best Picture especially over Shakespeare in Love.
CSI: Cyber is the worst in the CSI franchise and beyond that, the performances were subpar and the stories contrived even by standards of CSI. I had hopes Ted Danson coming over would help but it didn’t appear his character had much to offer although any scene he was in brought much needed charisma.
“CSI”: The Fourteenth Season might not be a standout season for this long-running series but it does have its moments and unlike the short-lived Laurence Fishburne era, where stories managed to be even darker in tone, this ensemble headed by Ted Danson, seems to have coalesced quite well.
