Operation Finale was such wasted potential that although at its core the operation itself was interesting, the changes made were baffling and needless. Having that said, the performances from both Oscar Isaac and Ben Kingsley were especially strong.
Although not a terrible movie, or at least as terrible as I feared, The House was a misfire of a project for the normally, box office while anyway, Will Ferrell and even though I did manage to laugh a time or two, it is an entirely forgettable movie.
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie isn’t bad by any stretch, but this is the kind of movie aimed squarely at those in the 8-13 age group and while I didn’t the jokes landed that well, it’s passable enough for parents to watch with their kids.
Joshy is a well acted drama-comedy and one should go in knowing it is more drama than comedy but otherwise it’s a bit of a downer film that doesn’t have the best payoff despite the efforts of Thomas Middleditch who does have a few good scenes.
