Bombshell, starring an all-star cast including Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, John Lithgow and Margot Robbie comes out on Blu-ray and DVD from Lionsgate this Tuesday, March 10th.
Tully was a surprisingly well done drama from director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody, both teaming up again for another solid film. Along with those two, Charlize Theron turns in a wonderful and powerful performance.
Manhunt: Unabomber is the latest real-life dramatization that has taken the country by storm and it’s a well cast and finely acted one at that with both Sam Worthington and Paul Bettany, along with veteran Chris Noth, turning in good performances.
The Lazarus Effect had some potential between a respectable cast who did a good job with what they were given and some nice production values, but the script came across as half assed and delved into horror clichés we’ve seen too many times before and done far better.
Tammy is yet another lame comedy (with attempts at sappy drama) from McCarthy and company following the tepid Identity Thief but I’m hoping at some point the actress, who can be funny, widens her range instead playing the same type of characters made famous in Bridesmaid.
