Creepshow wasn’t a great anthology horror movie but at least three out of the five stories were at least somewhat entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed “Something to Tide You Over” seeing Leslie Nielson and Ted Danson in dramatic roles.
Naked Gun 2½ isn’t as good as the first but Nielson is still a lot of fun to watch and the jokes at least are more consistently spread out compared with Naked Gun 33 1/3. The Blu-ray released by Warner doesn’t have much to offer; the video and audio are adequate but there were no bonus features included.
Airplane is a timeless comedy, one where one doesn’t necessarily have to get the references in order to find it funny. The Blu-ray, a Best Buy exclusive at the time of this writing, has a good video transfer and adequate audio, but the special features have much to be desired especially given the fact any featurettes or deleted scenes can only be accessed while watching the film.
