Sixteen Candles is another home-run from John Hughes, further proving his amazing influence on the 1980s that still resonates to this day. This Blu-ray release from Arrow Video offers up great video and audio transfers to go along with some good bonus material.

Toy Story 4, while hardly the best in the franchise, is still a great bookend, maybe not so much for the group as a whole, but instead for the beloved Woody character and in turn, the life Tom Hanks gave him.

It’s something to go into a movie with low expectations and Snatched actually was a tad better, that’s not saying much, however. The first 20-minutes or so was a slog to sit through but as Schumer and Hawn are together in South America, and especially when Maloni enters the picture (in an all too brief role), things did pick up.

Toy Story That Time Forgot isn’t as good as Toy Story of Terror but it’s still a fun little short special where you get to see our old friends together again with a nicely constructed story and good voice work, in particular Kevin McKidd. Given the low $15 MSRP, this has the right amount of bonus material as well as good video/audio transfers to make it worth a purchase.

Toy Story of Terror is another solid entry in the franchise with some great humor and some decent, kid-friendly, terror. The Blu-ray release has excellent audio/video transfers and all things considered, there’s a fair amount of bonus material.

School of Rock was never one of my favorites to come out – and the story itself might be on the clichéd and predictable side – in 2003 but for music enthusiasts, and fans of Jack Black and Richard Linklater, it might hit the right note. The Blu-ray ports over all the features from the DVD while the video and audio transfers are adequate/good.

Toy Story 3 is a heartwarming, bittersweet and funny film that both kids and adults will absolutely love – and I would argue that the adults may find a more emotional impact especially if you were a child when the first film was released. The 3D Blu-ray itself has incredible video and audio which is to no surprise for a Pixar/Disney release.

This Toy Story 2 3D Blu-ray set is something else. A fantastic movie with incredible audio and very good 3D video presentations (not to mention excellent 2D video) yet the special features hold it back from becoming one of the best Blu-rays released on the whole. If, however, features are not your thing, then this is a no-brainer and even so, it’s still a must-have for anyone’s high-def collection.
