Criminal Minds: The Final Season was certainly letdown and while this was limited to only 10 episodes, the writers didn’t give the cast a whole lot to do and the stories were not all that interesting.
Birds of Paradise is an average, down-the-road, direct-to-video flick attempting to take advantage of high profile movies, in this case duplicating Rio. As cheap entertainment, it’s OK but the animation isn’t great though the audio/video transfers are adequate enough and at the one featurette isn’t terrible.
To be honest I’ve never been the biggest fan of “Glee” but there are some good moments here and there and the musical covers tend to be reasonably good all things considered. The Blu-ray distributed by Fox offers excellent audio and video transfers while the features have much to be desired, though nowadays, it’s no surprise that it is thin.
Wreck-it-Ralph is a great animated-comedy-adventure the entire family will enjoy and, at least for the past couple of years, rivals some of Pixar’s own works. It’s a fresh and imaginative story and the animation is wonderful. That being said, while the audio/video transfers are phenomenal, this unfortunately did not get the same treatment as most Pixar home releases do in terms of features. There’s a nice making-of featurette but its standard and the deleted scenes aren’t anything amazing. However, if solely buying based on the movie (who in the hell does that anymore?!?!), its well worth the purchase price.
“Glee” is a decent show that will definitely be sticking around for many Seasons to come. It’s not the greatest show on Television like some people claim, but it’s entertaining and the musical/dance numbers are pretty fantastic.
