Bandolero is kind of a strange movie, one filled with some great actors of the time including Dean Martin, Raquel Welch and James Stewart playing against type as the antagonist, alongside George Kennedy.
Hollywood’s Greatest Screen Legends set might be cool in theory but these are episodes of something called “Hollywood Remembers” from 2000 and these were not professionally produced though you can at least see the passion as I doubt this was some money ploy.
Two Rode Together might not be the greatest western, and certainly not a memorable one for either director John Ford or James Stewart, yet it’s still an enjoyable movie worth at least one look if anything. The Blu-ray released by Twilight Time has good video and audio transfers but the features are limited.
Anatomy of a Murder is a very well made courtroom suspense-drama thanks in large part to a well put together selection of actors. James Stewart continued his streak of wonderful performances while the story manages to hold its own throughout the duration of the lengthy running time. The Blu-ray in the meantime has excellent video and audio transfers and the features have some informative featurettes/interviews.
