Home for the Holidays is, to me anyway, holiday classic that probably doesn’t get the attention it deserves. While Planes, Trains and Automobiles is in its own right a great Thanksgiving film, this one deserves its place on the holiday as well.

I can’t stress at how much I loathed Song to Song. I’ve seen plenty of bad movies, but none of them have had me in so much pain to sit through since, well, Malick’s To the Wonder, with only a few very minor redeeming values with the performances by a talented cast.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition does plenty things to correct the hacked up theatrical version though if you didn’t like the plot the first go-around, the UE won’t change your mind. The Firm is a top notch and taut legal thriller showcasing why Tom Cruise was a superstar in the ‘90s with a great supporting cast who fit their roles perfectly, avid readers of the novel will disagree, however. The Blu-ray itself has a nice video transfer and an acceptable audio while failing in the features depart, although it’s no surprise Paramount wouldn’t spring for new features.

Written and Directed by Brad Bird, The Incredibles is one of Pixar’s jewels. It’s one fun film for the entire family with pitch perfect voice casting and a thrilling adventure story that rivals any live action film. The Blu-ray itself has some time-consuming special features and top of the line video and excellent audio that is great to show off your home theater system.
