The 1996 version of Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? was certainly terrible but oh so entertaining especially the laugh-filled finale, along with the poor acting from beginning to end. I can’t quite say the same for the “re-imagining”
Nerve, while hardly perfect, is one of the better surprise flicks of the year as it’s just a simple but fun suspense-thriller featuring two fine performances from Emma Roberts and Dave Franco and a nice moral at the core of what is really a convoluted story, yet I was entertained from beginning to end.
There are several reasons why Twelve is one of the worst films of 2010, a movie which is you have several characters you can’t relate to and/or symphonize with either. Add in an annoying and frankly lazy narration that gives all the insights for these characters and un-inspirational direction and you have a movie that does not work on every level.
