“Unforgettable”: The Second Season is solid entertainment through and through with good performances from the leads and a nice chemistry as an ensemble. The crimes themselves aren’t groundbreaking save perhaps for the assassin storyline yet the show is well worth keeping up with be it on DVD or, in its current form, as summer filler viewing.

“Unforgettable”: The First Season is yet another solid crime-drama on the king of crime-dramas, CBS. Poppy Montgomery is wonderful in the lead role and her character’s abilities is unique and, at least to some extent, based on reality even if heightened for a weekly television series. The DVD released by Paramount provides good video/audio transfers while the features aren’t anything amazing but nowadays getting any features is considered a blessing.

The Stepfather is just the latest in a string of remakes because Hollywood cannot come out with anything original. […] Stepfather ’09 was adapted by J.S. Cardone and directed by Nelson McCormick who you may or not know (probably not) were the guys behind the horrid Prom Night remake. Although this one didn’t sink to those depths, it wasn’t too far behind.
