Please do yourself a favor and skip this release. It bombed at the box office and rightfully so – it’s not funny, it’s not romantic, and the two leads have no chemistry. I was hoping Sylar (from “Heroes”) would come along and slice her head open, but sadly which the cancellation of that show it looks like he’s off doing other things.

The big reason Eli even works is because of Denzel Washington as there are not many actors who have an immediate command of the screen as he does. One moment Washington can be a bad ass slicing down bad guys in seconds and the next he’s a soft spoken philosopher dispensing scripture or advice. He does it all and with relative ease.

Alice in Wonderland has all the technical achievements to be a great and memorable Tim Burton movie that we come to know and respect. The visual effects look great, the voice talent is good… unfortunately the story failed to do anything for me and the performances are all around too strange to either be funny or endearing.

I saw Legion with a group of people back when it was released in theaters and thought it was truly a phenomenal movie. Sure, there are some scenes that made me go “huh?” and other things of that nature, but honestly I found it to be entertaining enough for me to forego any thoughts of not recommending it to anyone else.

Valentine’s Day may be a two-hour cliché but at the same time it’s fairly harmless and might please some people out there, but for me, I like my romantic-comedies to have, oh I don’t know, a little comedy thrown in there. I know… that’s a silly thing to expect. The Blu-ray itself is also a disappointment with a merely passable video transfer, a decent audio track and some subpar extras, most of which are exclusives.
