If it wasn’t for the fact that Disney forced the bulk of the features onto BD-Live, capping them at 480p in nasty letterbox, The Lion King would be nearly a perfect release. But ignoring that, you still have some amazing picture and audio quality along with one of the best animated films to every come out with a Disney logo slapped on it.

The Green Hornet screams ‘rental’ loud from the rooftops. While it’s enjoyable, re-watchablity is probably pretty low on this as it’s neither a heavy action nor heavy comedy. The Blu-ray meanwhile has good audio and video transfers and the features are aplenty to keep fans busy.

I still don’t get all the hype the original TRON has received over the years, and the sequel does not make me change my mind on the new film either. It’s an interesting idea, but overall, it just feels like a PS3 Gamers dream movie, but not enough to hold my interest. How does it measure with the previous installments?

Unless you have a 3D Setup, it’s hard to recommend this film as an actual film. It’s really a great 3D presentation of how to do 3D. The film itself has a plot as thin as a nose hair, and the reason to watch it is because of the sweet 3D dance moves. The Blu-ray thankfully has great picture and audio, and fans will enjoy the small sampling of features.

Sadly, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland doesn’t deliver outside of some great looking visuals and his knack for the strange and bizarre, but like even the best of Burton’s films, the characters are rarely compelling and often one-dimensional. This 3D Blu-ray on the other hand does at least offer a third-dimension and easily one of the best 3D BD releases yet. Everything else in this set is basically the same from the original 2D Blu-ray including the audio and features but for those set up with 3D technology, this would be an easy purchase.
