Clearly either this show is not for me, or I just don’t get the entertainment factor for the outlandish “theories” of involvement with aliens on just about every aspect in Earth’s history.

SEASON SYNOPSIS

On this season of Ancient Aliens, amazing discoveries shed new light on the theory that extraterrestrials not only visited humans in the distant past — but may still be present on Earth today. From bizarre sea creatures in Peru, ancient Druid structures in the American northeast, and alien crafts in Antarctica to alien viruses falling to Earth in comets and people claiming to be alien-human hybrids,  could we be on the brink of a new reality in which we find out, once and for all, that we are not alone?

Episodes:

  1. Return to Antarctica
  2. The Badlands Guardian
  3. Element 115
  4. The Star Gods of Sirius
  5. They Came from the Sea
  6. Secrets of the Maya
  7. The Druid Connection
  8. The Reptilian Agenda
  9. The Alien Infection
  10. Project Hybrid

Quick Hit Review: Ancient Aliens is a show I never watch nor would ever consider even just putting on in the background, and seeing it now on DVD, it’s more of the same B.S. I remember from the other seasons I reviewed in the past, taking historical events or landmarks and twisting and turning to have the aliens being responsible, with commentary by so-called experts. I’m open-minded to the existence of aliens, but this series is too much and the fact it’s still going strong, now in its FOURTEENTH season, is astonishing, though got to think some of the audience watch for its sheer comedic aspects…

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

This two-disc set comes housed in a standard DVD case.

VIDEO – 3.75/5, AUDIO – 3.5/5

The show is presented with a 16×9 enhanced 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio as it originally aired on History. Each episode comes with a standard but satisfactory Dolby Digital 2.0 track.

OVERALL – 1.75/5

Clearly either this show is not for me, or I just don’t get the entertainment factor for the outlandish “theories” of involvement with aliens on just about every aspect in Earth’s history. Maybe some take this seriously, but got to think most enjoy the comedic value it can provide.
